Svaykang Village Family Care & Student Scholarships - Reacheney (Cambodia)
My family, we began to divide our work in serving God. According to our gifts. My father was a pastor at Svay Kan Church. He was a good leader and very good at encouraging the villagers to share the gospel and inspire the villagers in Svay Kang village and in other areas where he went to spread the gospel in the area as well as in the church for they know the name of Jesus and decide to believe in Jesus Christ and His salvation.
But now he has passed away in the Christ. My brother-in-law, who is my sister’s husband, is the leader of the church after my father now. My sister Sarah and my brother-in-law Sophar are the administrators in the church after my father, he is the pastor now leading the church planting ministry of the gospel of Jesus Christ in other areas as well as in Svay Kang Village. My sister Sarah is the leader of the youth group. She has the gift of leading the youth group in the area especially in the church. I also have the role of a leader for the children and in the youth group.
I have the gift of sharing the gospel and encouraging the youth and children and the villagers in the area so that they know the name and believe in Jesus Christ and His salvation. We prayed a lot with the villagers and our youth and children’s groups to expand the kingdom of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with our villagers, especially the youth in the villages who have not heard the gospel of Jesus Christ to change their new life to live in Jesus Christ.
Then God responded to our youth ministry about the generous scholarship program led by Simon Goodyear. He has a program related to buildinga web site for Always Serving Inc. to help bring more awareness and raise support for all of the beautiful ministries God has allowed me to be a part of. he started Always Serving Inc., a nonprofit organization, in 2016 to help people through personal connections, people who were unseen by larger ministries. This website will reach a larger audience to make a bigger impact for helping children and families in need in Mexico and S.E. Asia.
Through this program, it can help us and to create serve in my community, community outreaches, and help to provide student scholarships which is a non-profit program that aims to help poor young people who do not have the opportunity to attend and continue their studies at university. Through this work, it was created to help some young people by seeking donations to help support the education of the youth ministry so that they can continue their studies until graduation and have the opportunity to attend university.
Through this program, young people have the opportunity to come to church and help serve God's ministry to share the gospel to our village can grow in believeyer in Jesus Christ as well.
My mother Sophanith is the leader of the women's group. She opened a factory to make clothes and other materials by sewing her own creativity to create something like clothes, pillowcases, bags and other things that she created for her women's group.
The location of her factory is near to Svay Kang Church. The women who came to study with her were women from our village who were poor and needy, including widows who had no skills or occupations.
Through this program, woman group have the opportunity to come to church and help serve God's ministry to share the gospel to our village can grow in believeyer in Jesus Christ as well.

Bethel Children’s Home (Myanmar/Burma
Bethel Children Home was started in 2016, December, by a young couple who have passion for children, especially for the orphans, fatherless and motherless under the leading and guidance of mighty God. After they married, they sold a small land of 200 square feet they belong, in the city area of Tachileik, Eastern Shan State, Myanmar. After selling the land, they bought new land outside the city area around 800 square feet, though it was still small land, but they started the children home there. In this small place, they started with 17 kids from Khaing Ton, Mong Sat, Mong Yong and Mong La areas. In the present day the number of kids has increased to 35 kids and being taken care of in the center. They are from Akha, Lahu, Hmong and Wa.
The Requirement for The Orphanage Ministry
Firstly, the Bible teaches us clearly that God has special concern for the orphans (Deut. 10:18; Ps. 68:5), and as his people, he desires that we Christians to have the same concern for these orphans, fatherless and defenseless. For God he himself is a father, helper and sustainer to orphans. This is why, to defend, to feed and give food and clothes to orphans, to comfort them and to support them is God’s will in our lives.
Secondly, it is our own concern to help physically, mentally and especially spiritually the orphans who are left poor and defenseless because I and my wife were in this kind of circumstance when we were young. I had to depend on one of the pastors’ families to attend school when I was young, but my wife never had opportunity to go to school instead, she had to go to beg for food on the bridge every day, at the border of Myanmar and Thailand. This is one of the reasons we sold our land to start the children Home.
Thirdly, after the year 2000, most of the orphanage ministries in the golden triangle area stop their ministries. Some gave up; some transformed into education centers, which collect fees for children. The parents have to pay some money for their children to get proper education. But there are many people who are not able to support their children for education. In other hand, orphans, fatherless and motherless are also increasing in number in the area because many people left their children orphans, fatherless and motherless because of drugs, is the worst. This is why the orphanage is a very important ministry in the area. And to take care orphans physically and spiritually, to help them mentally and educationally is our chief purpose in doing orphanage ministry and, to develop every area of their life’s skill, that they may be able to survive themselves in the future as strong Christians, is our goal.
