Lina’s Hope
Lina’s Hope is a school and therapy center for disabled children in Kampot, Cambodia. We have a daily school program for children and young adults of any age, religion, and economic background recovering from brain injury. We provide therapy, education, and life skills to help each disabled person become all that he or she can be….
Lina’s Hope provides an employment and live-in opportunity for some parents who want to do therapy for their own children but are coming out of difficult circumstances of poverty. We do all we can to keep parents with their children and to empower parents to care for their own disabled children.
Lina’s Hope has a fostering program for children in severe cases who need rescue from crisis situations of neglect, abuse, or abandonment. In these cases, we do all we can to work with and empower parents, but sometimes fostering a child at Lina’s Hope is necessary as a last resort to save the child’s life or to protect the child from further abuse.
Lina’s Hope also provides training for parents and orphanages from other provinces to learn to do therapy for their disabled children, in which case they visit Lina’s Hope every three months for more evaluations of their children and training in the therapy that their children need.
Lina’s Hope provides help with medical care for the disabled children and young adults who we serve.
